• LinTraining - (co-founder and maintainer) - web site directory of Linux Training Resources.  1999-present

Software

• makefaq - a program to generate Frequently Asked Question pages
• viewportfolio - a python program to track stock portfolios
• imgindex - a python program to generate an index of images in a directory

Organizations

• Linux International - member as representative from LPI (1999-present) and member of Interim Board of Directors (2000-present)
• Linux Standards Base/Free Standards Group - member of publicity committee (1999-2000)
• Linux Professional Institute - (co-founder and President) - developed professional certification for Linux. 1998-2001
• Linux Documentation Project - participant in mailing list discussions (2000-2002)
• Linux Writers and Publishers BOF - a frequent conference session uniting publishers and authors. 1999-2000
• SAGE (USENIX) Certification Committee - (member) - a project to develop professional certification for UNIX. 1999-2001

Documentation

• SME Server/e-smith server and gateway - updated user manual, authored technical papers and HOWTO documents
• NIS HOWTO - contributed some updates and assisted with conversion to DocBook

Miscellaneous

• Enterprise Linux Magazine - member of Advisory Board and columnist (2000-2001)
