If you are interested in seeing pictures of how a infrared/laser wireless system might
work, you can check out the web site for Proteon at http://www.lantracer.com/plp0009.htm
. They have a series of products under the name of Freespace that provide
wireless links. I don't know anything about their products, but the pictures do show how
such a system could be implemented as a wireless bridge.
